Chenille de Soie - Velours : Au Ver à Soie Velours silk chenille, the classic chenille: as soft and even as a piece of velvet, in 5 m skeins and in the same colours, with the same numbers, as Soie d'Alger. It is used for embroidery on canvas and fabric, in passementerie, weaving and knitting, and by machine too; in 17th-century embroidery it was used to depict moss, trees and grass.
