Description

A Christmas stocking worked in counted cross stitch, showing Santa at night in front of a lit tree while a curious fox watches him. The alphabet supplied with the chart lets you add a name along the top, so the stocking becomes a personalised gift to fill on Christmas Eve and bring out again every year.

Alongside the cross stitch there are areas of half cross stitch and long stitch for the details, all explained in the instructions. The felt backing and the hanging ribbon are included, but the final making-up is sewn by hand. A hoop or frame and a sharp pair of embroidery scissors make the work easier.
