Potpourri bags - Christmas elves

Three white bags with a Nordic feel, with Christmas gnomes and a reindeer stitched on the front and a red cord for closing. The bags come ready made up: you stitch straight onto the Aida front and simply thread the cord through once the embroidery is done.

Besides cross stitch the chart uses a little back stitch for the outlines and a few long stitches, so it suits anyone who has already worked their first crosses. What goes inside the bags — potpourri, sweets, a small present — is up to you: they work well for scenting a drawer, as place markers on the Christmas table or as gift wrapping. A small hoop makes the stitching easier to handle.
