Description

A birth sampler full of small animals: an owl on its branch, a frog in the pond, a snail, a bunny with a bow and a passing bird. The chart includes an alphabet and numbers, so you can stitch the baby's name and date of birth in the centre of the design.

It is worked in counted cross stitch on Aida, with the outlines finished in back stitch; the threads come already sorted by colour and ready to use. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the stitching easier. A picture frame is not included: once finished, the piece is usually framed and makes a welcome gift for a birth or a christening.
