Description

A soft-toned birth sampler with the woodland animals gathered under a blossoming branch: the bunny climbing the ribbon, the fox and the little mouse on its toadstool. The chart includes an alphabet and numbers, so you can stitch the baby's own name and date of birth in place of the ones shown on the model.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from a large-square chart; on Aida the stitches sit neatly in the squares, so this makes a good first larger project. The frame is not included: it is best chosen once the embroidery has been washed and pressed. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors are handy while stitching.
