Description

A birth sampler to work in cross stitch on Aida: four woodland animals posing among the trees, with a line at the bottom to personalise with the baby's name and date using the alphabet and numbers supplied in the instructions. The chart is printed with large squares, so it is easy to follow even with little experience.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the box; the frame is not included, nor is an embroidery hoop, which helps keep the fabric taut. On 18 count Aida the stitches come out small and crisp: one strand of stranded cotton is usually enough, with back stitch for the outlines. A lovely gift for a new baby or a christening.
