Description

A long row of striped, spotted and plain cats sitting with their backs to us on a flowering fence: a cheerful, horizontal design that suits a narrow wall or the space above a door. It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with back stitch for outlines and finer details.

The elongated shape and the dark ground make it quick going: the stitching is concentrated in the figures, while the fabric colour acts as the sky. The frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed, mounted as a panel or made into a cushion. A hoop or frame and good light make the work more comfortable.
