Blue cornflowers, white daisies and ears of wheat stand out against a dark background that gives depth to the bouquet. The tall, narrow format suits a slim wall or a hallway, and because the background is stitched as well, this is a project to enjoy over time; the large-square chart keeps it easy to follow.
Alongside full cross stitch there are areas of half cross stitch and a few long stitches, used for the petals and the beards of the wheat. A hoop or frame makes the work easier to handle and is not included, and neither is the frame shown in the photo. Once finished, a gentle wash and pressing from the back will get the fabric ready for framing.
