A white lamb peeping out of tall grass and pink flowers: the design is already painted on the canvas, so you just follow the colours without counting stitches. Latch hook work means knotting pre-cut lengths of yarn into the canvas with the hook, a simple, repetitive action that children and beginners pick up quickly.
The result is the front panel of a cushion cover, thick and soft to the touch. The cushion pad and the backing fabric are not included: once the hooking is finished, neaten the canvas edges and sew on a sturdy backing fabric, or have the panel made up. It also works as a small decorative mat.
