Two rabbits meeting in a snowy landscape, with sprigs of heather, red berries and toadstools: a winter design worked in latch hook, the technique where pre-cut lengths of acrylic yarn are knotted one by one into the holes of the canvas using the hook supplied. The canvas is hand-painted, so there is no counting involved — you simply follow the printed colours, which makes it a good project for younger stitchers and for anyone starting out.
What you make is the front of a cushion cover: the pad and the backing fabric are not included and are added once the knotting is done, by sewing the panel to a piece of sturdy fabric. The finished square also works well as a small rug or as a wall hanging.
