Decorating for Christmas - Aida

A Christmas scene in a snowy wood, with a little girl hanging baubles on the fir tree while the animals watch. The kit contains everything needed to stitch the design, threads included: it is worked on Aida following a large-square chart, which is easy to read even if you have little experience of counted cross stitch.

Alongside the cross stitch there are a few long stitches for the finer details, such as the bare twigs. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the embroidery is best mounted on board and framed, perhaps with a pale mount. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors will also make the stitching easier.
