A red squirrel peeping out among autumn leaves, berries and toadstools, worked in cross stitch on a canvas that is already printed in colour: you follow the printed areas, with no counting involved. The large holes and thick yarn make the stitching quick and easy to handle, which suits occasional stitchers and younger beginners alike.
The kit covers only the front of the cushion cover: to finish the cushion you will also need backing fabric and a pad, bought separately. Once the stitching is done, sew the back panel around the edges and slip in the inner cushion; alternatively the panel can be framed or used as the centre of a patchwork throw.
