A portrait of Elsa to work in counted cross stitch: the design is stitched from the chart onto white Aida, counting the stitches out from the centre. Aida 14 count is the most widely used fabric count and is normally worked with two strands of stranded cotton, so it suits anyone who has some experience of counting stitches.
In addition to the kit you will need a size 24 tapestry needle and, if you like to keep the fabric taut, a hoop or frame. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed as a picture for a child's room, or made up into a cushion or a decorative panel.
