Garden

A collection of small garden and vegetable-patch scenes arranged across the fabric like a display board: each motif is stitched on its own, so the work moves along in stages with no large areas to fill. The threads come ready sorted on an organizer and the chart is printed with large squares, easy to follow even with limited experience of counted cross stitch.

Alongside the kit it helps to have a hoop or frame to keep the Aida taut and a pair of embroidery scissors. A few details are worked in long stitch, which gives finer stems and outlines. The frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or mounted on a panel for a kitchen or garden room.
