Description

A tender portrait: a little girl in a red hat holding her teddy bear, with shades of pink, brown and amber giving depth to her face and to the soft winter light behind her. It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with back stitch added at the end for the outlines and the finer details.

18 count Aida has a close weave, so the stitches are small and the colour shading comes out beautifully, but it helps to work in good light and with a magnifier if you need one. The frame is not included: the finished piece can be custom framed or made up as a panel or a cushion front. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors are useful extras.
