Greeting Cards: Flowers & Lavender

Three cards to stitch in counted cross stitch, each with a small posy of wild flowers and lavender spikes. The embroidery is worked on the piece of Aida supplied and then slipped into the window of the card, which folds shut at the back: once finished they are ready to write and post, and the envelopes are included.

The motifs are small and the colours come already sorted on a thread organiser, so the work goes quickly even if you have little experience with counted work. All you need to add is a small hoop, if you like to keep the fabric taut, and a pair of embroidery scissors: everything else, threads and needle included, is in the pack. A handy idea for birthdays and handmade thank-you notes.
