Height Chart - Animals

A height chart for a child's room, with a fox, a bear cub, a hedgehog and little birds alongside the numbers. The chart also includes an alphabet, so the child's name and date of birth can be stitched in the space at the top, as shown in the photo.

It is worked in counted cross stitch on Aida, with back stitch for the outlines and a few long stitches for the details; the threads come ready sorted and the large-square chart is easy to follow. The wooden rod for hanging is not included: once the stitching is done you can hem the fabric and slide a dowel through it, or have the chart mounted on a support.
