Description

A height chart for a child's room, with savannah animals peeping out from the palm leaves beside the centimetre scale. The chart includes an alphabet, so the child's name and date of birth can be stitched at the top, as in the photo, turning the piece into a personalised gift for a birth or a christening.

It is worked in counted cross stitch on Aida, with back stitch for the outlines; the large-square chart and the threads already sorted on the organizer make it manageable even with little experience. You will also need a hoop or frame to stitch. Finishing and any hanging rods are not included: the chart is usually finished with a border or wooden dowels.
