Description

A deliciously unlikely hot air balloon: the envelope is an ice cream sundae topped with whipped cream, cherries and heart-shaped wafers, while a red-haired little girl travels in the basket below. A cheerful subject for a child's room or a kitchen, worked on evenweave-style fabric with the threads already sorted, so you can start straight away.

Alongside the cross stitch you will use french knots for the sprinkles and long stitches for the balloon ropes; the large-square chart explains both. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors are not part of the kit, and neither is the frame shown in the photograph. Once finished, the embroidery can be framed or mounted on a padded panel.
