Rows of lavender in flower, poppies in the foreground and a small village with red roofs among the cypresses: a corner of Provence worked entirely in counted cross stitch, with no backstitch lettering or fractional stitches to worry about. The large-square chart and the threads already sorted on the organiser keep things easy to follow, even if you have little experience with counted charts.
There are many shades, but the blocks of colour are generous, so it is easiest to work area by area: sky and houses first, then the lavender rows. A hoop or frame is handy while you stitch, but is not included, and neither is the picture frame shown in the photo. Once finished, the piece suits framing for a hallway or kitchen wall.
