Two bears hugging while holding red roses and a heart: a cushion worked in latch hook, the technique where pre-cut lengths of yarn are knotted one by one into the holes of the canvas with the hook provided. The design is painted onto the canvas, so there is no chart to follow and the work suits children too, on their own or with an adult.
What you make is the front of the cushion cover, with its typical thick, soft pile. The cushion pad and the backing fabric are not included: to finish it, sew the front to a square of fabric and slip the pad inside. The panel can also be used as a small rug or hung on the wall.
