Three small Halloween pictures worked in cross stitch on Aida, with the outlines finished in back stitch. The fine count keeps the figures neat and detailed, so a magnifier or good light helps; the threads come ready-sorted on an organizer, which saves all the preparation. The chart is printed with large squares and is easy to follow, even if you are fairly new to counted work.
You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the frames shown in the photo are not included. Once finished, the three miniatures can be framed and hung as a set, or mounted on card as greetings cards and seasonal decorations to bring out each autumn.
