Vervaco: limited edition for their 70th birthday
A truly unique kit to celebrate an important day: Vervaco has decided to dedicate it exclusively to their closest fans, who can reserve it only till’ stock last and therefore, as fast as possible!
With its 28”X38” size, this kit is the largest ever manufactured by this brand in their seven decades’ business and includes DMC threads and ecru 14ct aida, besides a selection of small pearls to finish with a bling, all in the delicate sepia shades that have contributed to the well-deserved fame of Vervaco!
PLEASE NOTE: since it’s a limited edition, there’s no way to be 100% sure to get the kit, though the chances are more, if you’re fast ;-)

Description

A cross stitch portrait of a mother and her newborn, worked entirely in shades of sepia: the gentle tonal changes give depth to the hair, the face and the hands, while the beads add small highlights in the details. Long stitch is used for the softer lines and outlines.

The challenge here is the scale rather than the stitches: a large frame or a scroll frame helps, and it is worth starting from the centre and marking off the chart as you go. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the work can be stretched and framed, ideally with a pale mount that sets off the ecru background.

Besides the excessive price, the hands of the mother also look like the hands of a "dad".

beautiful (and for this my vote would be from OTTIMO) and congratulations to Vervaco, but the price is really impossible! There are kits with many more special materials that cost much less ... and above all also for the fact that they don't offer a linen but an aida 55! in my opinion the price is to be resized a little, but happy for those who will buy it and realize it.
