Owl in Autumn

A sharp-eyed owl on a branch surrounded by autumn's red berries: a nature subject in a tall, narrow format that shows off the shading of the plumage. There are plenty of colour changes, so it is a rewarding project for anyone with some experience of counted cross stitch.

The kit holds everything needed to stitch the picture: 14 count Aida, threads, needle and the chart with instructions. The frame shown in the photo is not included, nor is an embroidery hoop, which helps keep the fabric taut. Once finished, the piece lends itself to framing and hanging, on its own or paired with another design from the same series.
