Purple flowers with bird 3

A small floral picture: a round bloom in shades of purple and lilac, slender green leaves and a little blue bird perched below, all set inside a pink speckled border. It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart on fine Aida, and the small format means it can be finished quickly, even in short sittings.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the box; the frame shown in the photo is not included. On 18 count Aida the design is usually worked with one strand of stranded cotton, so a small hoop and good light are helpful. Once finished, the piece can be framed as a little picture or made up into a card front or a scented sachet.
