Rug - Grasses

A round rug with grass stems and seed heads crossing over a pale yellow ground. The acrylic yarn comes ready cut to length and is knotted one piece at a time onto the hand-painted canvas, following the printed colours with no counting involved.

The hook movement takes a few minutes to learn and stays the same throughout, so latch hook is a relaxing project to work on in company or with older children. The binding tape for the edges is included, though you will need a needle and strong thread to stitch it down. Once finished, the rug works beside a bed or in front of an armchair, or can be backed to make a cushion.
