Description

A ready-made table runner, hemmed and finished with a woven border, to embroider with a stack of books surrounded by autumn leaves, acorns and a feather. The design is printed straight onto the fabric, so you follow the printed colours instead of counting threads, and the print washes out once the work is finished.

Besides cross stitch, only two simple stitches are needed — stem stitch and back stitch for outlines and fine details — which makes it a manageable project even with little experience, though a long one to enjoy over several weeks. Everything is included except a hoop or frame and scissors. When finished, just press the runner and lay it on the table or sideboard.
