Description

A ready-made, hemmed table runner to stitch along one end with Christmas baubles and floral motifs: the embroidery sits in a single band, while the rest of the fabric keeps its natural linen-blend look. It is worked in counted cross stitch from a large-square chart, with a little back stitch for the outlines and the hanging threads of the ornaments.

As the fabric is not printed, it helps to mark the centre with a line of tacking before you begin and to count from the chart. You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Once finished, wash gently and press from the wrong side, ready for the festive table or a sideboard.
