A bouquet of pink peonies unfolding along a light scroll, to be worked in cross stitch on a runner that is already hemmed: there is no sewing to do, you stitch it and put it straight on the table. Threads, needle and chart are all included, so you only need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors to start.
The 11 count Aida is easy to count even if you have not stitched much, and the large-square chart makes the shading of the flowers simple to follow. The design sits at one end only, leaving the rest of the runner free for plates and a centrepiece. Once finished, wash by hand and press on the reverse over a soft cloth so the stitches keep their relief.
