Description

A ready-made table runner, hemmed and finished with an inwoven border, to be stitched with a red-and-white striped lighthouse among gulls and sailing boats: a summery motif for a dining table, a sideboard or a hall console.

The design is printed straight onto the fabric, so there is no counting involved: you stitch over the printed colours, which wash out after the first wash, and work the outlines in back stitch. An embroidery hoop makes the work easier, keeping the fabric taut without creasing the hem. Once finished, the runner only needs a gentle wash and pressing from the reverse.
