Description

A Christmas table runner that comes ready-made and hemmed, with the design printed straight onto the white cotton: you stitch over the printed colours, with no counting involved, and the printing washes out afterwards leaving only the embroidery. Alongside cross stitch you will use long stitch, stem stitch and french knots for the antlers, berries and finer details; the instructions explain how to work them.

A hoop or frame helps keep the fabric taut, and it is easiest to work one colour area at a time. Threads, metallic thread and needle are all included, so nothing else is needed to finish it: once stitched and washed, the runner is ready for the table or a sideboard over the holidays.
