Description

The runner comes ready-made and hemmed, so only the embroidery is left to do and the piece is ready for the table as soon as the last stitch is in. The robin perched among the apples and the garland of leaves and berries around the edges suit an autumn table, a sideboard or a small side table.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from the large-square chart; a few details, such as the bird's feet and the thin twigs, are usually finished in backstitch. The DMC threads and the needle are included, while a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the work easier. When finished, a gentle hand wash and pressing from the back are all it needs.
