Description

A birth sampler featuring a pair of first shoes, made to be personalised: the alphabet supplied with the chart lets you stitch the baby's name and the date, as in the two examples shown, one with blue laces and one with pink. The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so the right colour is easy to find as you follow the key.

It is worked in cross stitch on Aida, with a little back stitch for the outlines and lettering; the frame is not included, so plan for one separately, along with a hoop and a small pair of embroidery scissors. A classic gift for a birth or a christening, ready to hang in the nursery.
