A square, ready-hemmed tablecloth with a decorative band to stitch along all four sides: a garland of flowers and butterflies framing the plain white centre. It is worked in cross stitch, with a little back stitch to outline petals and wings.
The large-count Aida is easy on the eyes and grows quickly, even on a piece this size; everything you need is included, so you only have to add scissors and, if you like, a hoop or frame. As the cloth is already made up, once the stitching is done a gentle wash and a press from the back are all it takes before it goes on the table, indoors or in the garden.
