A square cloth to stitch along all four sides with a garland of meadow flowers and a few butterflies, leaving the centre plain so the embroidery still shows when a vase or a basket sits in the middle. The cloth comes with its edges already finished, so once the stitching is done it only needs a gentle wash and pressing from the back.
Everything you need is in the box, threads and needle included; a large hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the work easier. Cross stitch is combined with a few long stitches for the stems, on an open-weave fabric that is easy to count and forgiving for less experienced stitchers.
