A ready-made square tablecloth, already hemmed, with the design printed straight onto the fabric: you stitch along the printed lines, which wash out afterwards, so there is no thread counting involved. The wreath of deer, snowy trees and red berries suits a festive table and still looks right all through the winter.
The project asks for some experience, as it combines six different stitches, from french knots to satin stitch; if you are new to surface embroidery, try them on a scrap first. A hoop or frame makes the work easier and is not part of the kit. Once finished, a gentle wash and pressing on the wrong side are all it needs.
