Description

A ready-made square tablecloth, hemmed and finished with an inwoven border, with the design printed straight onto the fabric: there is no counting, you simply embroider over the coloured lines. The motif runs along all four sides and gathers little pots of houseplants, cacti and herbs with their name tags.

Several stitches are used — french knots, satin stitch, long stitch and stem stitch — so this one suits someone with a little hand embroidery experience. A hoop or frame helps keep the cloth taut while you work. Once finished, a wash removes the printed lines and the tablecloth is ready for the table.
