Description

A garland of spring flowers runs around the edges of this white tablecloth, already hemmed and ready to embroider: the design is printed on the fabric, so there is no counting involved and you simply follow the coloured outlines. The motif is worked in a few traditional stitches, from stem stitch for the stems to satin stitch for the petals, with french knots for the smallest details.

A hoop makes the work easier and can be moved along the floral border as you go. Once finished, the printed design washes away, leaving only the embroidery on the cloth. The result is a ready-to-use table topper, and a lovely gift for the home.
