Surfer

A summer scene: a boy in sunglasses rides the wave on his red board, enclosed by a dashed blue border. It is worked in counted cross stitch from a large-square chart, with a few back stitch lines to sharpen the outlines; the modest colour count and the clearly visible Aida squares make it manageable even with little experience.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the pack, threads included; the frame shown in the photo is not part of the kit. A hoop and a small pair of scissors are useful additions. Once finished, the piece can be framed for a child's room or made up as a small gift picture.
