A square tablecloth, already hemmed and ready to stitch: the design runs along all four sides with cheerful flowers, hearts, butterflies and little birds, and one corner carries a heart with the word 'lief'. The coarse Aida count makes the squares easy to see and the work grows quickly, so it suits stitchers with little counted-thread experience.
As well as cross stitch you will use back stitch for the outlines and a few french knots; everything you need is in the pack, just add a hoop or frame and small scissors. Once finished, wash the cloth by hand and press it face down on a soft towel so the stitches stay raised. A pretty choice for a breakfast or garden table.
