Description

A birth sampler with a seated teddy bear in a little checked pinafore: below the picture you stitch the baby's name, date and weight using the alphabet and numbers supplied with the chart. Threads for both colourways, blue and pink, are in the same pack, so the choice can be left until the last minute.

Counted cross stitch is worked from the chart, usually starting at the centre of the fabric; a few back stitches and long stitches shape the muzzle and outlines. The frame is not included: a hoop and a small pair of scissors also make the work easier. Finished, it makes a classic gift for a birth or a christening.
