Four hens in a row under a light snowfall, stitched along the border of a ready-made cotton towel with a hemmed edge. The design is printed straight onto the fabric, so there is no counting involved: you follow the printed colours, and the printing washes away at the first wash, leaving only the embroidery.
Everything you need is in the kit, threads and needle included; a small hoop and a pair of embroidery scissors make the work easier. Besides cross stitch you will use back stitch for the outlines and a few French knots, all straightforward stitches suitable for beginners. Once finished, the towel can be used in the kitchen or given as a gift.
