Two bookmarks showing the same mountains from two angles: snow-capped peaks, flowering meadows and a wooden chalet, with edelweiss and gentians along the bottom. They are small pieces that travel well in a bag and can be finished in a few evenings, so they make a nice gift for a reader, singly or as a pair.
The design is worked in cross stitch on Aida following the large-square chart, with a few long stitches for the finer details. The ribbons for finishing are included; once the stitching is done, trim the fabric, glue or sew a backing and thread the ribbon through. A small hoop and good light make the work easier.
