Description

Four bookmarks to stitch, one for each season, from spring blossom to winter holly and pine cones. They are small pieces that travel well in a bag and work up in a few evenings, with back stitch used to outline stems and details. Fabric, threads, needle and chart are all in the kit, so nothing else is needed to start.

The fringed edges are part of the finishing: once the stitching is done, trim the Aida to size and pull away the outer threads, or back each bookmark with felt or fabric. They make a simple gift for a reader, and stitching all four means four presents that can be given separately.
