Two bookmarks to work in counted cross stitch, with feathers in blues and soft oranges standing out against the pale ground. Being small pieces, they stitch up in a few evenings, so they make a good way to try counted cross stitch or to prepare a present for a keen reader.

The kit holds everything you need, DMC threads and needle included: just add a small hoop and a pair of embroidery scissors. The enlarged chart with clear symbols is easy on the eyes. Once stitched, fringe the edges of the fabric, or back the bookmark with felt or card to stiffen it.
