Description

A set of two bookmarks celebrating the pleasure of reading: the armchair by the window, a well-filled bookcase, a cup of tea and a lit stove. They are small pieces that travel easily in a bag and can be finished in a couple of evenings, so they also make a welcome gift for a book lover.

They are worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with a few long stitches for the details; threads, needle and the hanging ribbon are all in the kit. To finish each bookmark, back it with card or felt so that it stays flat between the pages. A small hoop is handy for keeping the fabric taut while stitching.
