Description

Two bookmarks to work in counted cross stitch: an owl hidden among ferns and a bald eagle in close-up. The coloured backgrounds are stitched along with the birds, so the fabric is covered from edge to edge, and the fringed borders mean no extra finishing is needed once the stitching is done.

The kit includes everything you need, threads as well; the only extra is a hoop or frame, if you like to keep the fabric taut. Besides cross stitch you will use back stitch for the outlines, long stitches and French knots, all explained in the instructions. They are short projects, friendly to less experienced stitchers, and two ready-made gifts for keen readers.
