Butterfly - Felt

A butterfly with pink and pale blue wings, made from pre-cut felt shapes that are stitched onto the printed fabric and finished with pearls and sequins; the little clouds around it are embroidered along the printed dashed lines. Only two stitches are used, running stitch and back stitch, both easy to pick up with no previous experience.

The wooden hoop is part of the kit and works both as a frame to hold the fabric taut while you sew and as the final frame: once the stitching is done you simply tighten the fabric and hang it up. All you need to add is a small pair of scissors. It is a short project, suitable from 12 years and for anyone looking for something that can be finished in a few evenings.
