A warm autumn woodland with bold leaves and dark fir trees, worked in cross stitch on the front panel of a cushion cover. The canvas has large holes and is painted by hand, so the design is visible straight on the fabric, and the thick acrylic yarn covers quickly. The work grows fast, even with little experience.
To turn it into a finished cushion you also need backing fabric and a cushion pad, which are not part of the kit: sew the back by machine or by hand, adding a zip if you like. A large hoop or frame makes stitching more comfortable, though it is not essential.
