Potpourri bags: Blue Feathers

Three ready-made little bags to embroider in cross stitch with light, brightly coloured feathers. The stitching is worked straight onto the front of each bag, which is already sewn up, so no making-up is needed once the embroidery is finished. Outlines and fine details are added in back stitch, giving the feather shafts the thin line you can see in the photo.

The Aida weave is fine, so good light helps, as does a small hoop if you like working with one. Once stitched, fill the bags with potpourri, lavender or small treats and close them with the cord provided: hang them in a wardrobe, set them on a dresser or use them as wrapping for a handmade gift.
